Mail Settings (Mac OS X)

You'll need the following

  • Username
  • Password
  • Domain name for your organization (domain.com in the below)

The following are the steps to set this up:

  1. Open Mail (the postage-stamp on your Dock)
  2. Go to "Preferences" on the "Mail" menu
  3. Select "Accounts" across the top of the preferences window
  4. Hit the "+" in the lower-left corner to add a new account
  5. Set account type to "IMAP" and enter a name for the account, your name, and your email address.
  6. Set incoming mail server to imap.domain.com.
  7. Enter your username and password in the next two fields.
  8. Open the "Outoing Mail Server" menu and select "Add Server..."
    1. Set the mail server name to smtp.domain.com
    2. Set the port to 587
    3. Open the "Authentication" menu and select "Password"
    4. Enter your username and password again
  9. Close the preferences box, saving your changes. You should see your email account appear in the main window.
